Dalaguete, Cebu : A Perfect Place for Vacation

Feeling hot? You should take a break and go on vacation. There is no need for you to spend bags of cash because my birthplace is an affordable tourist destination. Dalaguete is not called "The Summer Capital of Cebu" for nothing.

Obong Spring
Barangay Obong, Dalaguete is where I live. Obong Spring is considered as one of the most known tourist attraction here in our province. Dalaguete's name was derived from the 400-year-old Dalakit Tree (Ficus Benjamina Linn) beside a cold spring which persuades people because of its historical essence. After a stressful learning about the past, the spring is a foot away and a good spot to unwind and take a splash.
Osmeña Peak
Tired of splashing? Let's go hiking! The Osmeña Peak also called as O-Peak is a great place for you. It is located at Barangay Mantalongon, Dalaguete Cebu. The place was once a horse-riding destination of Philippine's former President Sergio Osmeña Sr. Mantalongon, Dalaguete Cebu is also known for its unusual cool breeze. In fact, it is considered as the "Little Baguio of the South."
Ocean Bay Beach Resort
Make a lot out of your summer at Ocean Bay Beach Resort. This resort is located at Poblacion, Dalaguete Cebu. Family and friends will surely enjoy the plunge under the heat of the sun.
Dakong Bato Beach Resort
The Dakong Bato Beach Resort is located at Barangay Coro, Dalaguete Cebu. This relaxing spot will keep you wanting more splashing!

Feel the ice-cold thrill of September to January at Dumalan, Dalaguete Cebu. Bandera Peak will surely test your sense of sight uncovering the thick fogs. This place was used by the American army during World War II for their towers, house military communication, triangulation contraptions and a flagpole.

Hang out with thousands of hanging and flying nocturnal creatures at Kulabyaw Cave. This cave can be seen just before you set foot on O-Peak. Trekkers will surely feel being a hero. Batman! This is still on Barangay Mantalongon, Dalaguete Cebu.

Before you can meet two of the world's largest flying foxes known as Kabog, you haave to pass an adventure. Hard work will really pay-off once you get to witness the endangered Cebu Black Shama (Siloy) as they chant bird songs. This hidden valley is located at Barangay Malones, Dalaguete Cebu. Just ask for Lagnason Creek.
